I was under the impression with the VDSL Filtered faceplate that even if you had a filter on an extension that there would be no harm.
I was concerned that perhaps you had a "Star" wiring for you telephone sockets. In case you aren't aware, this is where the main line from outside comes in to a BTO junction box and two of more lines feed from there to the relative sockets.
Had this been case I would have suggested that you get someone to rewire everything so that the main line goes to the Master Socket and the extensions then feed from that.
Of course the microfilters designed for ADSL are also unsuitable for FTTC also. There are some on the market now in preparation for when an ISP starts allowing self-installation. Personally I would always go for the filtered faceplate method as it reduces the chances of getting wrong by quite a lot IMHO.
