I would also strongly advise to be there while the work is being done (rather than delegating it to someone else) to ensure that the work is done fully and to your satisfaction and that everything (phone & broadband) is working correctly before the Openreach engineer departs!

      Goodbye ADSL

Well after all that the engineer rings up this morning 8am and asked if he can fit it this morning instead of afternoon. What's the point of even giving morning or afternoon times when they come when they feel like it . Oh we'll rant over stuck at work and can not try till tonight

Hopefully everything will be working well this evening then. At least you know he has been though. Several members in the past have complained about BTO Engineers not turning up. This appears to have been resolved now.

I'm sure this is a lesser complaint than the engineer turning up late or not at all!

Let's hope Scubbie is right and the "non-attendance" of engineers has been resolved. I'm booked in for next Tuesday and confirmed with Sky the "home wiring solution" is part of the order so should be no arguments with getting the installation I need.

      Strange.

How is your computer connected to the Sky router?

Also could you update your profile please? It is helpful sometimes in situations like this.

I have tried both wired and wireless but they are about the same

What profile did you mean is it by latest router stats??

My latest speeds have gone up around 10Mbps to 16Mbps since I last posted. But I should be getting a lot better with this sync speed

      Re: Goodbye ADSL

Are you using a Sagem F@ST 2504 router as stated in your profile? If your download speed is synced at 40,000Kb/s I don't believe that you are on Sky Broadband Unlimited either.
