      On demand wireless router

Ok i have the white skyhub for when my fibre is installed on monday

      It sits in my hall

its connected by wire to the on Wireless G grey router so that i have wireless coverage all over the house

Now the grey wireless N router i currently have will not be needed anymore

if i connect it to the Sky box by cable then press the WPS button on it and the WPS button on the white sky hub will it auto connect each other so the sky box will be connected by wireless using the old router?

Worth a try, but I don't think it will work. The WPS button is for connecting devices to the router, I don't think it will connect to another router.

      Re: On demand wireless router

What you could do, since you have Sky ADSL, is to set up the Sky Hub SR101 as the primary router now.

If you need additional WiFi coverage, see the guide linked below:

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/askin...-together.html

Since you can't connect two Sky routers via WiFi, the WPS button will not work. However, if you have another device with a WPS button, you can use the WPS button on the Sky Hub SR101 to connect the two together.

yeah i already have my two Sagem routers connected to privide total wireless coverage

but i want to connect another one wirelessly as its a pain in the ass getting a cable from the router to the skyhd box

might just have to go the homeplugs route

      No problem.

As a suggestion, since you are considering HomePlugs, why not get a pair where one has WiFi n built in? That way you could drop the WiFi g router and enjoy the faster and stronger WiFi n connections all over.
