      Sky replacement router?

      Hi

      I have the Sagem Fast router 2504 and it keeps losing the connection to my network at random times(Gateway not available) - Ive been onto Sky Fibre for assistance and they still carn't run a Line test - Sky phoned OR and they can run a test and it coome back fine - Sky are to phone me back within 24 hrs - The fault with being unable to run a test has been now open for 3 weeks - Sky have made this an high issue to fix this issue.

      Sky think this is a faulty router - Thought they won't do anything without running there own test , will my router be replaced with a SR 101?

      That's a bit barmy given that in the grand scheme of things the router will cost them pittance in comparison with the costs if they need to send an engineer or everyone's time working on the issue.

      I suspect they'd just issue another 2504N unless they've run out of them.

      Faulty equipment is normally replaced like for like but it wouldn't hurt to ask while on the phone, in view of all the problems that you have been having, whether they could replace it with an SR101 as a gesture of good will.

      No Fault finding process has begun yet - I presume when sky manage to run a line test on the line - the fault finding process will begin
