Personally I'd rather pay the same and Sky continue to invest in the network so that it can handle the increasing traffic demands, Don't really want to end up like those users in the article above.

I think they'll continue to invest in the network AND Improve the product line over time.

As for the congestion issue, I think maybe their planning has been poor & let them down, failing to match rising demand (customer numbers) with capacity in some areas. I suppose the worry is where might it happen next?

The price of being truly unlimited coming home to roost perhaps!

Similar comments were made last year as well when this issue arose.

It happened over Christmas 2010-early 2011 as well and was linked to the advertising promoting both SBU and Anytime+ (as it was known then).

That is a very good price. I think it will be subject to being slowed down in the evenings and at the weekends though.

      Sky Fibre Pro

I've mentioned this before on the forum and I also said it while completing the fibre survey, I will leave Sky Fibre at the end of my contract if they don't look at the pricing in comparison to their competitors as the market has moved on.

It will be interesting to see what they do if they start to get churn.

I'm not convinced that there is a much better choice than Sky though at the moment if you are a serious downloader.

According to the blurb I read they would only slow down torrents during peak hours.

I remember reading that in a post on this forum, i think by the plusnet guy.

I also think the 19.99 for 80/20 was only for certain market category exchanges though.

      I'll try to find it...

      Yes it was.

Luckily my exchange is in one of the areas where they don't charge extra!

      Hmm, can't find the thread.
I think plusnet man joined in halfway through another, unrelated one, so i'm going to give up now.

Searching the members list for 'plusnet' was quite funny though.
