Congested wifi channel maybe, try changing it. use inssider to find the least congestion channel in your area

Re: Sky Fibre Hub - What is it?

If all else fails, maybe conduct a trial using one of your iDevices?

If so, I suggest the following steps (based on what i would do myself):
      1. "Reset Network Settings"
      2. power off device
      3. cold start device - probably not absolutely necessary but included for good measure (hold down Home & Power until Apple logo appears, continue to hold until Apple logo disappears and re-appears again)
      4. re-configure for access to your network

Monitor for a few days. If problem solved, repeat on all remaining devices

You will need "inSSIDer" (or similar) to survey the wireless network landscape around you and discover that info!

Re: Sky Fibre Hub - What is it?

If left on "Auto", the Sky router should find the cleanest channel for you. This might not be the one with the least amount of routers connected as one of your neighbours might cause a lot of traffic.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      It isn't a Hub either... It's a router

Companies will insist on letting their Marketing departments name things, you most certainly wouldn't want a Hub between 2 networks that would be rather messy to say the least... I suspect BT started the trend by calling theirs the HomeHub.

Actually I can't really think of any reason to have a hub in a modern network, not now switches are so cheap..

I suppose you could stick one in so you could packet sniff traffic between 2 hosts but given that even the low end smart switches support Port mirroring thesedays it's not really worthwhile.
