Is a new Sky Fibre contract 12 or 18 months?

I signed up this year (September), and can't find the paperwork, so does anyone remember if the contract length is 12 or 18 months?

Recent changes to other providers offerings (such as Plus net) have made them much more attractive to me but I cannot work out when I can leave Sky?

Very happy with the TV but up to double the speed, unlimited usage, hassle free ability to use my own router and all for 1p less a month, I'm already wanting out!

I know I'll have to wait, I just can't remember how long...

Probably because some other ISPs have got 18 month contracts for Fibre!

Re: Is a new Sky Fibre contract 12 or 18 months?

There is a rumour that I heard about Sky Fibre changing to 18 months in the future, no idea if true or not though. And most definitely not confirmed, but currently they are 12 months.

I heard a rumour about sky fibre going to 18 months & BT going to 2 years.

      No actual evidence though.

At this rate in twenty years time you'll have to sign up to a life sentence.

ofcom need to put a stop to this now, 18 months is too long imo, 2 years is ridiculous but i can see why companies would want to do this.

12 months is a good length, 6 months would be even better

Even better to pay for your own equipment if wanted or needed and then to not have any contract length.

I am beginning to think that like with mobile phones, Sky should consider offering new kit every couple of years for a renewal of contract.

If this were possible then less would have the WiFi g routers and better security too.
