      I don't see why not it's still RF like ADSL just uses different frequencies. If the signal is strong enough it will probably jump a small gap although it will attenuate heavily.

      I'm pleased to report that my problem is now resolved. Following a call to Sky on Wednesday afternoon they identified a problem with the BT cabling and logged the fault. A BT engineer called today (Thursday morning) and I believe has replaced the copper cabling between my property and the FTTC cabinet. I am now getting a download speed of over 37mbps. Hats off to Sky for resolving the issue so quickly. Also thanks to everyone who has replied to my post.
