      an update sky is enabled and it has been for 2-3 weeks, since before christmas so they did enable it fairly quick after the official exchange live date. If only sky told me this when I asked I would have waited.

      Unfortunately they currently will not do this.

      I guess that it is subject to various appointments being kept, but the old argument is that it is "Commercially Sensitive".

      In practise members have found that the earliest dates after which they could order Sky Fibre varies from same day to a couple of years. Most are within I guess 6 weeks of the date when fibre has gone live in their area.

      Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
      Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      i've recently moved house and only got my adsl bb activated yesterday and checked if i could get fibre via bt's checker. it says yes so i went to upgrades via my sky but i don't get the option to upgrade.

      I then logged out and put my new postcode into the sky checker, it comes back with fibre unlimited as an option. why can't i upgrade?

      If you have literally just had the new installation, there may be a block on the system preventing you from upgrading within the first 30 days or so.

      Can I suggest a friendly phone call to Sky?
