      problems since outage the other day

      Since i got Fibre Pro, the speedtest has pinged about 5 and speed was between 68-74 everytime i ran a test.

      the day they restored service from the outage, it went down to 54 and the advisor said theyre just stabalising the speeds so keep an eye on it.

      now my speed is 52 meg and the advisor i called said "speed tests aren't reliable, you're getting 80" i appreciate that but it's a little suspicious that it's only since the outage.

      ive done many resets etc but no change.

      should i contact one of the senior customer service team or is there anything else
      i can do?

      Leave it a few days for DLM to catchup - then take some more tests.

      Remember, speed testing is a synthetic test - it is not a true measure of your broadband speed.

      I had similar problems.
      My upload sync speeds had been 9996 since June with a "speed" of 9.2 via Speedtest.net. After the outage on the early hours of Tuesday morning I found that my download sync {after a modem re boot} was showing at 7124 with a corresponding reduced "speed". This Sync increased during the next night to 8496 and finally back to "normal" 9996 this morning.
      During all of this my download sync {and speeds} and Ping did not change at all.
      What I find "odd" is that due to the area that I live in we get a lot of power cuts { approx 1 a month} and despite this, the sync speeds of the modem /router have never changed before. Yet the one reboot that I did on the Modem whilst troubleshooting my connection problems due to not knowing at the time that it was a Sky fault knocked my upload sync down from 9996 to 7124 as I have said previously.
      Any one any ideas as to why this should be so ??

      My ping is 80ms tonight and speed just seems much slower then usual.
