My modem is unlocked so I know the ping increase which I still have was caused by a change at skys end.
My ping before interleaving was 9ms. After interleaving was 17ms.

Since the 'network upgrade' my ping has gone up to 29ms odd.

I'm not kidding myself that I could actually tell in game, it's more the point that its been at 17ms since march and without problems.

I'll log into the bt modem later and check the stats.

I get approx 37-38Mb down when I use the BT(beta) and JD speedtester they dont give me the option of an avatar though.
I have the ECI modem unfortunately, (ECI cabinet) and I cant be bothered messing about with pegs and usb leads.
You can create a results pane with the JDTester by right clicking on one of the columns in the speed graph and choosing 'Create result pic'. You can then save it and upload it as a graphic.

      Re: Increased ping times

      Cheers Isitme.
I'm not going to bother though, as my throughput is so bad now, I would only embarrass myself.
Sky are on the case though (tongue firmly in cheek).

Edit: Here is my current throughput on a Sky box sync of 40000Kbps/9996Kbps. Ping has nearly tripled as well.

It looks like you are another victim of the 'half speed syndrome'.

      Re: Increased ping times

When I originally got Sky, they put the order through at 40/2, (throughput was approx 38Mbps/1.8Mbps). This took a over a month to sort out by a nice lady in BT Leeds , who called me and explained what she was going to do. For a few days my throughput was approx 38Mbps/8.5Mbps. Now over the past few weeks throughput has plummeted and latency greatly increased. So I dont know if im the victim of the 1/2 speed fault. I thought the 1/2 speed fault was right at the beginning of activation and not later on.

Yes most half-speed victims have had it from day 1.

I might be inclined to think either a line fault has caused DLM to kick in or the recent fibre network "upgrade" has changed something for you (but no idea what that might be!)

Bleeding ell, I see why you are called speedywrite, I didnt even have time to edit my post before you posted. So please excuse the 2nd sentence. The BT lady sorted it out after waiting a month for Sky to do it, it did not take her a month.

Haha! No worries, I knew what you meant

But seriously you must be very disappointed with your current speed.

Disappointed and disgusted, that Sky seem to be so so so so etc etc, slow in admitting that there is an actual problem.

do you have the Huawei HG612 BTO modem, if so have you hacked it and checked the line stats for errors?
