It is very possible that it is the same fault.

Remember that you are using the same copper cable from your home to the green street cabinet as previously. The Fibre takes your broadband from there to the exchange, but your copper cable connection is still present. It is what the telephone conversation is carried on back to the telephone exchange.

The joke is, the guy over the road (who works for BT and is on BT Infinity) is getting 75Mbit/s on his speed tests on Speedtest.net!! He's on the same pole and going to the same cab too! Something isn't right here.
I bet if he moved to Sky his speed would half and he would be told his line could not take any more.

      It is possible.

We did used to have this problem with ADSL. The phone cut off the broadband. It was resolved by putting our profile down to 3Mbit/s. :-(

It does seem to be fault after fault, OR they are all stemming from the same fault.

lol @ the comment about moving to Sky...

Well. I know that the line properties should be almost identical, so if there is a problem on our line regarding speed/phone calls then it needs to be sorted.

I'm going to mention the fact that we have still been having line issues and that the guy on the same pole & cab over the road is getting 75Mbit/s on a speed test... It is a little insulting after all we've been through. :@
