      Sky Fibre Openreach router + Airport Extreme

      Food for thought : How can I use my airport extreme as the main router, cutting out the middle man being the Sagem F@st router.

      Starters:

      I have successfully 'modified' the modem, so I have access to the GUI.
      I am currently piggy backing my Airport extreme off the back of my sky router.

      NTE > BTO MODEM > --- RJ45 ---> Sagem F@st > --- RJ45 ---> Airport extreme Wan port.

      So my current settings have my router acting as a DHCP host, I want to cut him out, as he does nothing else apart from that. My airport extreme deals with the Wifi and is capable of signing in to the internet. I've used a couple of converters to get my sky username and password, but they do not work, I wonder if MER has anything to do with that?

      Has attempted this, or got any ideas.

      Cheers

      What do you mean you have modified the modem to access the GUI? don't you use Airport Utility?

      I have a similar setup, i have a TP-Link router (DHCP Client) connected to the BT modem then the AP (2.5Ghz & 5Ghz wireless) hanging off the back of it as the AP doesn't have the ability to input option 61 or to run a script (like the TP-Link) to connect direct to the BT modem.
