      not sure what is happening

I have been very patient in waiting for fibre, I had a initial date of 30th September, that came and went, eventually today according to sam knows i see this :

      General Information
      Exchange name: Hailsham
      Exchange code: SDHLSHM
FTTC status: Available in some areas

I have a brand new green box at the top of my street, my postcode is BN27 2BZ, but when i check with either, SKY or BT it tells me it's not available, does this mean i'll never get it, or just means, my box hasn't been activated yet? Sorry for all the questions, it's just i have itchy hands to upgrade...

If it is at the end of your street, logic tells me that you should be serviced at some point with Fibre.

As the RFS date was only 16 days ago or so, then it may just not be ready for BT and Sky's ordering systems, if you can get it, it shouldn't be too far off now at a guess.

have you been up close and personal with the cabinet? is it humming suggesting that it is powered up?

As newsreader has said it sounds as those you have to play the waiting game a bit longer

Re: not sure what is happening

Looking further in to the URL that Andrew set up it says "NOT PART OF A PHASE", does that mean it will not be switched on for btinfinity, they basically upgraded the whole green box, they never put a new green box beside it, I am just trying to find a definite answer, I know you guys/gals can't tell me for sure, but I'm hoping the "NOT PART OF A PHASE" isn't indicating, I will not get it....

Re: not sure what is happening

Im in the same position my friend. The cab at the end of my road was upgraded and is now accepting orders, however I am connected to a cab much further away (only BT knows why!) that was not upgraded. I have no chance of getting fibre anythine in the near future!
I Just hope ypur ADSL speeds are OK mine are below 1mb!
