When are sky gonna started advertising theirs on tv?....i wanna see a competition going!

(Ha! Don't like plusnet anyway, even tho I was a customer of theirs years ago. on an 8mb internet connection...their latest package back then! I have heard their fibre-optic is worse than BT infinity...internet trafficing, and download peak & offpeak time...plus fair usage policies)

All i do see is a load of sky BB unlimited adverts...seen the one with Actor Bruce Willis... sky decided to pay him to do that obviously... funny advert tho... altho I heard Bruce Willis wanted to sue apple for not allowing to pass the ownership of his downloaded itunes music on to his own daughter when he dies...

Perhaps Sky want to get it working properly before they start advertising it...

All you see on TV is BT Infinity and Virgin Media adverts, I think sky should start advertising fibre by now!

Since the potential number of people who can get Sky Fibre isn't as large as BT Infinity or VM, I guess that Sky are steering clear of the advertising for now, much like TalkTalk.

well. if plusnet have started advertising, shouldn't sky take the initiative and advertise their fibre broadband, i mean, how big are plusnet compared to BT infinity & Virgin Media?

I think sky should advertise....and state that its a subject of availability...depending on your local exchange...

ye even plusnet state in their advert...limited coverage...check website...speed based on current UK speeds(ADSL)

      Re: hmmm sky fibre...

Sure PlusNet are a smaller ISP than Sky. However PlusNet uses the same set up that BT infinity uses so has as large a potential customer base as BT Retail.

It would be nice if Sky could start a serious advertising campaign and perhaps even offer some enticing connection deals just in time for me to get them too when my exchange eventually goes live.

Sky announced earlier this year that they intend to push out their equipment into more telephone exchanges and make their Unlimited broadband package available to 85% of the population by June 2013 (I think that is what was promised, I couldn't find the announcement just now).

This will mean that they will soon be in a better position to offer a more comprehensive product range for people across the country.

What I am also a little miffed about are the continued order issues which have been reported on this forum and the inability to order SFUP on-line.

      Re: hmmm sky fibre...

Maybe we'll see a Sky Fibre broadband campaign start soon after the next BSkyB results are announced on 1 November 2012?

Sky Fibre broadband will have been "live" for over 6 months by then.

There are a few advertising boards up with sky adverts taking a pop at Virgin with the lighting Bolt comment..
