You can complain to Sky but you will probably be told to wait 10 days till DLM finishes training your line.

      Re: new connection help

well i did think i would hear the wait 10 days story, but the guy from sky fibre team, dave i think his name was, was so helpful, he put a note on my account to have to line reset, as i was only scynced at 2mb upload, and even rang me back the next after he had ran tests on my line, to tell me, the reset hadnt been done, and raised a support ticket for me to have openreach look into it,

i hope what ever they do fixes it, as this makes my old virgin connection look a lot better than i thought it was

If that's your best download speed it looks like you have been hit by 'The Curse of the half speed throughput' as well

Sky's own backhaul does occasionally get problems with congestion. However I have seen that when it has been reported and the right people within Sky's network team have been put on the case, the backhaul has been upgraded to cope on each occasion.

Getting someone to accept that there is a network issue and that in turn it needs to be passed up the line has been difficult for some people, but if there is a problem, then the evidence that you have collected above will help hugely.

Once accepted the upgrades have taken between 1-4/5 months to fix. Most have been reported as completed I think within 3 months.

Can this be said for Virgin Media?

      Re: new connection help

I would be inclined to call Sky again and ask what is happening about the upload connection.
