Just a question out of interest firehawk.
How long is the Rj11 cable that you are using between your master socket and modem?
Are you using the 1.5m cable that came with your bto modem,or are you using a longer, or maybe your using your original Rj11 cable, that you had before your fibre install?
Reason I ask is, we found out that you can see a significant increase in speed sometimes if you use a shorter or better quality Rj11. Anything shorter than 1.5m won't help you much though.
This is the only thing I can think of to improve your line yourself.

The cable between the master socket and modem is probably around the length of your arm (from the tip of your fingers until the shoulder)

I am using the 1.5m cable that came with the BTO modem.

A update was sent to our fibre routers early this morning so it might have re synced you router stats too.
Have a look at your router up times and see if that's what happened.

That's the one yes. With you being on 80/20, but not fully achieving the full speed, I would expect you to see your speed going up and down from time to time.

I replaced the modem cable with a 7 foot Belkin High Speed Modem cable which I had knocking around and the max attainable rate on my line went up from just over 75Mbps to just over 81Mbps.
