Re: What Equipment for Fibre UnlimitedIf I were you I would take off the existing filtered faceplate and replace it with a standard one. This will force the BTO engineer to supply a proper VDSL filter. There are some reports of the engineer leaving a filtered faceplate in place and just plugging their modem into it.
My broadband harks back to the days of £50 per month, the green stingray modem and a filtered faceplate (micro filters were unheard of then).
I guess there was a non-filtered faceplate all those years ago but the BT engineer probably took it with him.
Since then I have upgraded with an ADSLNation filtered faceplate but that too was many years ago.
If I still have the faceplate I removed that will also be a filtered one.
So if it is a real possibility, then I would have to go out and buy a standard faceplate before the BTO engineer comes round.

I wouldn't go to any great expense, chances are you will get a decent engineer who will put on a new one. Just stand by with the coffee and biscuits.
