      Fibre Pro

      Hi

Originally when installed I was getting 72000+ kbps however since install our phone (talk) line failed and once repaired when we received or made a call the DSL dropped with no connection.

We have had OpenReach back out who have checked the line and repaired some, to quote the engineer, "dodgy connections" and now we have a download stream of 54984 kbps and upload stream of 16996 kbps.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, or is there still a fault?

      Re: Fibre Pro

It is possible that BTO's DLM has capped you because of the fault. It should pick up that the line has been fixed.

If you are getting your stats from the Sky router, then it is possible that they are wrong. The Sky routers picks them up from Sky's servers and the updates aren't as frequent as they were when you used ADSL.

If you reset the router you would then be able to confirm the latest stats. If they still show the slower speeds then it might be a good idea to power cycle the BTO Modem. It might be worth allowing a 30+ minute gap before powering it on again.
