Have those that have got the "upgrade" had to reboot the Modem ? Router? or both ? in order to activate it .
Also have any "half speeders" got the increase as well to upload speed yet, and if so have they seen any change to their download speed ?

I remember people who got it early, had installs on the 26th of April or before, and most people who ordered online had installs on the 27th of April or after.
Could be everybody who was on the trial, or got fibre before the official release date gets the upgrade first.

Should we need to reboot our modem/router to see if an increase has occurred or should it just happen automatically?

Will there also be some official communication from Sky about this (either directly to Fibre customers or publicly)?

I was told that an email will be sent out but knowing sky the email will probably arrive a week after the event or not at all. Lucky we have this forum. LOL

      Well would you belive it.
Just done a speed test and it says my upload speed is 8mbps. It was showing 1999 on my sky router so rebooted and now it syncing at 9569.
I've got my ping back down to 16ms, it was 24ms.
I'm a happy bunny at the moment

So just to confirm there is no need to reboot either the Router OR the Modem in order to "activate" the update ???

      Congrats!

Is there anyway of knowing if the speed increase has occured without rebooting the router/modem? It would suggest that for some people like above, the router will stay at 1999kbps for upload.
