      Download v Upload

Can anyone answer this for me.

I have Sky Fibre Pro and my download sync is 45 meg (was 49) but my upload sync is 18.5. Why is my upload speed nearly full wack but my download barely more than the standard tariff speed? How does this work?

      Re: Download v Upload

Basically it is a a matter of frequencies. Upload and download use different parts of the frequency spectrum. The part used by upload is much smaller than the part used for download, so as a consequence there is much less interference. Less interference, less noise, more speed.

      Re: Download v Upload

They're also different frequencies since if Upstream and Downstream reused the same frequency you'd not be able to send and receive data at the same time due to self interference.
