      True download speed

So, my connection has dropped from 52MB/s to 48MB/s (I upgraded from fibre to fibre pro). The ping is worse - used to have 5ms and now 25ms
The line is apperently fine according to BTO.

however I was just downloading a large file and that was downloading at 5.34MB/s

      so thats ok I guess.

but to me seems that the sky router isnt getting the real sync speed as this seems slightly higher than 48MB/s right?

I've also heard that some people have been able to successfully open their BTO modem to enable higher speeds up to the package constraints? is this true? if so... how and who has done is successfully?

it will show you your max attainable for downstream / upstream, but other than getting ~0.15mb extra upload when turning qos off... you wont improve your downstream by hacking the modem.
