I am MORE than happy for Sky to take my 30 a month.

Re: Fibre Pro vs Infinity 2

I've got bt infinity 2 at a property I rent out at the tenants request and cost although it's a fast connection etc I've had nothing but trouble with the customer support due to the issues theyve had however it still has a long period on its contract before I can cancel it.

Ive got sky fibre pro at home and have never had an issue. At times I feel like I should phone the call centre to check there is somebody there as I and 2 - 3 colleagues all have the same high opinion of sky as an ISP. The extra 9 detailed a couple of posts up is well worth it for the stability, customer support, and unmanaged connection.

      Sky Fibre Pro 80/20:
      30 per month
      + 12.25 line rental
+ 5 per month SkyTalk Unlimited
+ 50 one off installation fee
      Includes calls anytime
      Includes voicemail
      Includes caller display
      Includes some international calls
      = 47.25 per month + 50 one off fee
      = 12 month cost 617
      = 18 month cost 900.50
      = 24 month cost 1184

      BT Infinity 2 80/20:
26 per month (20 per month first 3 months)
      + 14.60 line rental
+ 4.90 per month calls anytime (free first 3 months)
      + ^Includes voicemail
+ 5.20 per months international calls freedom
+ 3.15 per month caller display
      No installation fee
      50 Sainsburys card included
      = 53.85 per month (42.95 first 3 months)
      = 12 month cost 613.50
      = 18 month cost 936.60
      = 24 month cost 1259.70

So, in the 12 months, BT is cheaper by 53.50 when considering the Sainsburys card incentive.
At 18 months, BT is cheaper by 13.90 when considering the Sainsburys card incentive.
After 24 months, Sky is cheaper by 25.70, even considering BT's Sainsburys card incentive.
Every month after 24 months, Sky is cheaper.

      It becomes a question of:
      - do you require totally unmetered and unmanaged access now?
      - do you anticipate staying with the same fibre provider for over 2 years?
      - what other call plans/features do you require?

Decisions, decisions, my exchange is fibre exchange is fibre enabled by I'm in a quandry about which to choose myself, so I feel the pain of others too!

Of course Sky have been pushing various discounts and one or two other sites also have cash back offers, so all this can get complicated.

Since not everyone has a Sainsburys card, not everyone is able to get the discount from BT Retail either. Yes I know they are easy to get, but not everyone wants one either.

There is no "pain" - you pick Sky because you believe in better.
