There is a MAJOR flaw in your sums.

      Try adding Line Rental!

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      Line rental:
      Sky 10.00/month
      BT 10.75/month

      hardly a major flaw

these prices are if you pay in full upfront. otherwise BT = 14.60 p/m and Sky = 12.25p/m

Even taking that into account (if you choose not to pay upfront) you're still paying nearly 150 (147.70) more for Sky Pro over Infinity 2

One question though. How long will BT keep the cost of Infinity 2 down when BT Wholesale end their discount on the 80/20 product on 11th July. At the moment BT are selling Infinity 2 at something like 10 a month discount.

Their traffic shaping has virtually no impact on most torrents i download. It's more noticeable on public torrents, but when using a private tracker, i can normally get a 1.4Gb movie in 2-3 mins, which after being with Talk Talk and waiting days sometimes for a movie to download, is an absolute joy!!!

Re: Fibre Pro vs Infinity 2

They say leopards don't change their spots and after having BT years ago and being throttled that is the main reason I chose Sky, as unlimited actually means unlimited not what BT unilaterally impose on you. I looked at BT but as I can only get 26.4mb down, as I assume I can only get infinity basic, then it make sense to go with Sky as there is a cap on the 18 per month offering. If BE provided fibre I would have stayed with them, however there is only really a choice between BT or Sky.

to be honest you would be still better off through sky because there network is unlimited no caps or traffic management at all.
