I suppose I am the first to pay.

At last BTO are ready at my exchange, put back from April.
Tried to order by phone and was asked to ring back as Sky had a problem with their system.
When I rang back was told I could not order by phone, only online.
This meant of course there was no-one to argue with when it came to installation fees.
So like I said am I the first.
I have been with Sky for years, have the full kit but never never had a freebie of any sort.
Never mind there is nothing left to get now. install due 26/June
      Terry

At my exchange, Hastings, you could order Sky fibre on the same day BT Infinity was available to order.

Not sure really as it was due to be ready end of April. Then changed to June 30th.
I had a look just out of curiosity on BT website, and there it was, well before end of June.

For anyone else ordering online, it is worth signing up to Topcashback who are currently offering 50.50 for SBUF orders placed with Sky!

      Very nice.

Am I right in thinking that if I upgrade from unlimited broadband to unlimited fibre, I MUST have sly's telephone service?

      I am currently with BT.

Yes you must have the Sky telephone service. I also had a BT phone line and had Sky unlimited broadband. I did not really want to put "all my eggs in one basket" BUT had to give in in the end and give sky the phone line in order to upgrade to the fibre package. The phone thing went ok with me keeping my BT phone number {which was important to me} The fibre not so good as i am one of the "half speeders" !!!!!!!

Re: I suppose I am the first to pay.

Hmmm, I don't like the thought of putting all my eggs in one basket also, but suppose I have no choice as I do want a truly unlimited service.

I wonder if it would speed matters up if I ordered the change for the phone line now, rather than wait until fibre is available?

Is the fact I still have my phone line with BT likely to delay matters?

When i ordered mine {via phone call to the fibre team } i ordered both at the same time. 10 days later {as promised} the phone line "moved" seamlessly over from BT to Sky and the next morning the Open Reach guy turned up to sort the fibre out. All went very well APART from the "half speed" problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
