I've disconnected mine. It has been testing stupid amounts almost non stop. It tests when streaming netflix & playing on XBL so whats the point. I have boxed it up and emailed them stating I no longer wish to participate and to send me a pre-paid packet with an address for return

Fair point! as I said I don't trust it.

It's gathering nothing but dust right now in it's box. When I get an e-mail from them I will return it. If I get a cheque i'll destroy it - only fair

It does give you more than a reasonable cause for concern!

25 for some passwords and login details seems rather a good deal doesn't it?

On the off chance that anyone is still using their testing router, Conor O'Kane of ICM Research has posted an update on Thinkbroadband which you maybe interested in.

Re: Looking for a more users to help track broadband performance

Got an email on Thursday evening thanking me for taking part and giving my average speed data (Fibre Unlimited). I also got a cheque for 25 in the post today, although I have yet to pay it in (!). The pressure which built on Thinkbroadband forum seems to have worked - for the moment. I hope Conor continues to update via, at least, that forum.

Having read this thread and the one on TBB I am surprised anyone is still doing this.

I'm not, they never responded to my email but they have sent me an envelope to send the router back

I am, but that's mainly because the testing router provides a better network than the Sky one...

Well the testing is all over:
Icm Research :: General Broadband Chatter :: think broadband

Anyone still using it gets a fully fledged TP-Link TL-WR1043ND as they've remotely put a factory firmware on it.

Looking for a more users to help track broadband performance

That explains why my PS3 and PC lost their connections today and I couldn't get a static IP to work on the PS3. So is the router any use as a wireless repeater or anything?
