BTO Modem > Sky router > Airport Extreme (wireless client) > TP-Link speed tester (wired client)
Andrew, I think the WAN port on the TP router should be connected to the Sky router and the Airport connected to the TP router ethernet port.

One handy side effect of this testing is I now have a 100% gigabit network and can stream Blu-Ray ISOs from my NAS to my media player without the slightest hint of a glitch.
Sky really do need to get a better router offering to market.

It has been mentioned that a lot of people are looking for faster WiFi and LAN support.

I'm not in a position to say when this will be available though.

I have no idea what the WLAN is for. I don't use wireless anyway but I have put the ariels on as told! The USB one is flashing now as it's stopped testing. The good thing is that theres a QSS button on the front so when VM is going like 2mbps I can hit it and get a test done (and hope it's not my PC lol)

Strange. The router they send you is rated for 1gb LAN connections
