I've asked that too. I'm not sure I'll be too keen if the answer is 'ongoing'.

I think the last time these boxes were quoted on power consumption someone said it was something like 2p a year.

I'm signed up too, waiting for the router to be delivered.

I was told a minimum of 6 months at which point you could return the device.

I'd go for it but I already have a second router plugged into my sky router, that along with the BT modem looks enough of a mess for me.

Re: Looking for a more users to help track broadband performance

Got mine this morning but a bit confusing,

I read the instructions as we are suppossed to have everything plugged into it and and not use the ports or wireless on the sky router (using billion) but the wireless on the test router won't come on, and I haven't been able to login into the router.

Have sent an email but no reply yet.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Does your wireless work on the test router? And are you able to login to the router via tplinklogin.net?

      Thanks

Re: Looking for a more users to help track broadband performance

I don't believe you are supposed to be able to log into the router, it's just supposed to do its thing without any user interaction.
You're also not intended to connect any wireless clients to the TP-Link device. They continue to connect to the Sky Router.

It mentions nothing regarding connecting wireless so you don't need to.

I assume it detects wireless access just using the aerials

Re: Looking for a more users to help track broadband performance

      Thanks for reply,

That's what I assumed it was suppossed to work without interaction but like the email and guide says to connect the aerials but the WLAN light is off so I assume wifi isn't on (doesn't broadcast a SSID), so how does it know if i'm using wifi or not if i'm not connecting via it?

      That's what confused me.

      Thanks
