Champagne corks popping in Broadstairs today!

My exchange has for a long time been scheduled for June 30th for fibre.

I looked at 'Samknows' just now and see that the date has been brought forward to today! :

      It's party time in Broadstairs!

I suppose I need to check every day to see if it's available via sky.

I dont mean to burst your bubble but i wouldnt go popping the corks just yet.
Just looked at samknows and the date for my exchange has also now changed from 30th to 1st June but my fiber cab still hasent been fitted yet. BTO spent a few weeks laying the fiber all over the town and a handfull of the fiber cabs have now been fitted with BTO engineers working on them last few days so the exchange could be announced as accepting orders at any time but how much longer i will have to wait till its available for me is anyones guess.
Its so frustrating because the PCP about 250 meters down the road from mine got its fiber cab fitted over a week ago and the 2 about 300 & 500 meters up the road from mine got theirs fitted a few days ago but for some reason mine is still nowhere in sight, FTTC just feels soo close yet soooo far away right now

The fibre cabinet has been in place for a number of weeks sitting next to the old cabinet.

Just remember that it usually takes Openreach 2 months after installing the cabinet before it is ready for service. So if it hasn't gone in yet or only just gone in expect to be waiting a couple months until you can order.

That's a long time to be drinking champagne!

Will I survive long enough to actually use fibre?
