      SSH and Sky Fibre

      Hi

Has anyone had any success enabling port forwarding to allow external access to say a NAS box via SSH using the sagem router? I simply cannot get SSH to work externally.

I have configured the port forward in the router on port 22, the server is accessible by SSH locally, and I've also tried shifting to port 23 to no avail.

This used to work fine on my old normal sky bb modem. I'd like to be able to sftp in and/or mount an SMB share over an SSH tunnel. I can get FTP to work but it's both insecure and gives me a measely 20k/s upload speed which isn't much use.

The only thing I can think is that theBTO modem is blocking port 22 somehow.

      Any help gratefully received.

      Re: SSH and Sky Fibre

Could I suggest using a port range higher up the table?

If you play on-line games, check first which ones are required, then consider something in the range between 6,000-10,000.
