    Just ordered and says to contact them, why?

      Just ordered and says to contact them, why?

      Have just placed the order for Skyfibre unlimited. Order went through sky's ordering process no problem, payment card details taken then says confirmation email sent to my email address.

      Checked this and is says Confirmation of your Sky order and you need to contact us

      "We urgently need to confirm some details with you before we can proceed with your order. Please call us on 08442 411 423 as soon as possible so we can complete your order. Failure to contact us may result in your order being cancelled."

      Should I be worried or is this normal?

      I have chosen a date of morning of the 18th June. Is this when the BTO engineer comes? Do I get the modem before that?

      Steve I did do, but forgot to say that I phoned that number and they were less than useless, told me to ring back tomorrow. Reading through other posts it seems this has happened to others. There seems to be some sort of glitch that sometimes affects the smooth transition from internet order into something for the fibre team to process. Am gonna try again today but am going to ring the customer service for the fibre team. See if they can help. I was worried that I was being rejected, will update you on what happens. The order is also not tracked on MySky account so that concerned me as well, will keep you posted

      I had this your order online won't of gone through and you will have to do it all again on the phone with a different install date

      Same happened to me - you need to phone up the normal helpline broadband help during office hours and get put through to the fibre team. It means your order wasnt processed into Sky's internal system and they will have to place it again with you on the phone.

      all done and rearranged the install date for next day. Just glad it all went through!!

      Happened to me as well except being a bank holiday the fibre team are all out today, apparently.
