There was a facility on the forum which allowed you to check for which cabinet your post code/number was connected too. Maybe someone will come in and point you to it.

According to this, I am 100% connected to a cabinet. It also confirms that fibre goes live in June and says what number cabinet I am connected to.

I shall now go up to the cabinet and kiss it!

One way to be sure would be to look at the BT Infinity Checker. It should provide you with a speed estimate. If you were to take a walk outside and note who lives really close to the exchange and doesn't have a green street cabinet, then try their address on the same checker.

As for the cable, glad that has been identified and resolved.

It is still an RJ11 cable from the Master socket to the BTO Modem, but from the Modem to the Sky router it is an Ethernet cable (preferably Cat 5e).

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the modem?

Thinking about putting a small corner shelf up for it.
