      I can't get fibre but got an E-Mail saying I can so I signed up quickly.

      I don't think Sky phone users pay for 084 numbers but I could be wrong as I am not one who uses Sky line rental.

      If you have sky line rental then you do not get charged when calling any of their departments

      All the 08442 Numbers that Sky use are free to call for anyone with Sky Talk at any time on any day.

      They used to charge those on the basic Sky Talk package during the day on a weekday, but now it is free for everyone.

      no, I believe that 084 numbers are only free, if the same numbers are in the sky talk's own database, all of sky's 084 numbers are probably there listed, if you ring an 084 number, and its not in the database, or an unknown 084 number then you will get charged for the call...

      I seem to remember ringing BT recently, on an 084 number, and I looked in my billing invoices on mysky, and I never got charged for the call, it shows I called that number 3 or 4 times this year, without being charged...and some other 084 numbers I have been charged for...can't remember what they were...

      0845 numbers I do get charged for...should I get charged for them?

      Looks like i'll be giving them a call tomorrow then. Is it normal for it to not show up in Mysky order tracking though?

      If the order isn't showing by now in your My Sky page, then there is an issue which needs addressing. Good luck with the phone call.

      Well I got onto the phone to them yesterday and again through to the overseas call centre who said there was a problem processing the order and he'd try to put it through again - subsequently couldn't so I managed to then get onto the Fibre team who have explained there is an issue with the website where the order goes through OK but doesn't process it into Sky's internal system. All sorted now they put a new order in there and then and i've received a proper confirmation and new install date (5 days later than the first one picked but that's BT to blame i'm sure)

      Here's hoping that I don't have the router postage issue as experienced by others!

      Well done for getting it sorted.

      Hopefully it won't be long before Sky fixes the ordering systems. A lot of people have been complaining about various related issues.

      I would strongly recommend that you watch your Sky bills closely for the next few months too. Several members have had issues with SFU.

      Well all installed today. Estimated at 27MB, router reports the full 40mb. In practice getting nearer 30 in speedtests. Still a huge step up from 3mb though!
      One quite worrying thing though - even though I was the first customer on the brand new fibre cabinet they installed in March there was still a faulty card in there which the engineer had to change before he could get a connection - do BT even bother testing anything properly I wonder?

      I also had this same issue when I ordered Sky fibre on the website, got an email stating I needed to call them or the order may be cancelled. All sorted after a call to sky, install date is on June 25th.

      Can't wait to leave the world of sub 3mbps speeds behind.
