      Re: Fibre Connection fail

well, the BTO engineer should of asked You to run a speed test on your pc, before he leaves(mine asked me to run a test)...If he did not do that then, thats why he left...because he thought the connection was there...

I would seriously call sky back and arrange another engineer visit, and see what they can do...

Out of interest, try this speedtester.

So all looks to be well then! Perhaps speedtester.net was having an iffy moment. As has been said many times before, results from some of these speedtester sites varies so much depending on load etc. The fact you were able to get close to 40 meg on the BBC one would suggest there is no problem/cap on your line and you are enjoying the full fibre experience! Have fun

      Re: Fibre Connection fail

      Hi Everyone
I've had my Sky Fibre Broadband about 2 weeks now and since the 10 day line testing by Sky has finished I've been testing my Broadband speed 3 times a day.I've tested using the same test site but using 3 different browsers giving the following results

IExplorer 38 Mbps Ds and 1.89 Mbps Us
Chrome 21 Mbps Ds and 1.87 Mbps Us
FFox 31 Mbps Ds and 1.87 Mbps Us

It looks like certain browsers being used can give incorrect results.

Thanks launton for the link,it returned a Ds speed of 38 Mbps Ds for me

possible a dodgy server as you upload is beyond your sync, try the massy server in france, also try these:

Download: Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for IT Professionals and Developers - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

      Desktop | Ubuntu

also please edit your screen shot of the sky router status page to omit the ip addresses, mac addresses and your wireless name
AirPort Extreme + Sky Fibre Guide | Mac OSX Automator for xDSL stats for HG612 & Vigor 130

      Hauwei Cab > VMG1312-B10A > Ubiquiti UniFi | 58301/12298
