    Exchange SLWW

This is a discussion on Exchange SLWW within the Sky Broadband (Fibre) Help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I am wondering if their attitude might be because they are aware of something behind the scenes? Perhaps Sky will ...

Perhaps Sky will be offering a major campaign with incentives, such as discounts, soon?

So far Sky hasn't done anything heavy to promote SFU.

Also the people in Sky may have access to your connection stats and can see just how much traffic your connection generates.

I rang so much about fibre I got a new menu when I phoned and got straight through, no waiting in line for an answer. Tell them you've phoned and you're not happy with the info you've been given. If they ask what you want it for again, lay it on thick. Say everything in your house is online nowadays and things are grinding to a halt. That might be your case anyway. Again you shouldn't have too, but see what response you get then.
I thought about calling them again this evening, I told him that I have alot of things that go through wifi and wired and thats when he turned round and said well your records show you have a good connection and the latest N wireless router F@ST2504N . I do have a lot of things going off my connection like AppleTV 2, PS3 wireless printer etc etc and also have a friend living with me at the moment and he uses his laptop wifi and connects onto me but I dont mind that as you help friends out.

The bottom line is, It shouldn't have anything to do with sky what you use it for, if he wants it' and it's available, he should be able to get it. My previous connection was not to shabby. Sync at 18760, yet I still got it. When you order online they don't ask what your using it for so why do the sky CS. It's a crazy situation to be in and it looks like he was just fobbed off.

Call again. They log every call and no when somebody is not happy. At the very least you want an answer if it is available to you or not. Always be polite though because it gets you further down the line. Their are people on sky's CS team that will bend over backwards to help you. You've just got to keep trying. Good luck and let us no how you get on.

I take it all back. There is no fibre god, and if there is, he's obviously a BT infinity customer.
Don't give up hope though. It must be saying somewhere your able t get it. Just need to find the right person.

      Absolutely.

If I had the cash and were to walk into a car showroom and ask for a test drive of the top of the range Rolls Royce, then I would want any salesman booted out the door for refusing to serve me.

Whether I look the part, drive just a few miles a year or whatever, if I have the money and wish to purchase it, the only things he should be worried about is whether I have a valid driving license for the test drive and the Insurance Policy before driving off with it, having purchased the car. Of course he may wish to sell me more as a part of the package, but certainly he shouldn't tell me that my Mini Metro is more than enough.
