@solidstan - I think your problem of the slow down is actually the download speed of the browser you were using at the time...IE or firefox/chrome... there are ways to make them more reliable and faster....google it... or watch a youtube video about it...as my connection is always constant on speedtest.net...wonder what speed itll be when i get fibre next week...

speedtest was always consistent on the lower adsl speeds but the higher fibre speeds its all over the place.

speedtest was consistant on adsl, and is still fairly (+/- a few Mb's) on fiber, However a 50% drop in speeds seems quite alot. Im on holiday for a week from tomorrow, when I get back I will call em if its the same.

If you are having speed issues that drop so much then it always best to let the fibre team know regardless. Its only by them learning of issues will their knowledge grow and ways to resolve them. One of the things that sort of made me shake my head is that when sky were conducting the trial they had no real feedback route other than to call them and how was that data collected and used to better the service?

Speedtest.net is seems to be more miss that hit at the moment. The BBC speed test seems more consistant.

With the Beta EPG at least Sky are utilising their forum for feedback. This was also the case with Sky Cloud.

      PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.

I know in the past sky have used staff to test things, but its only when things go to the masses do they pick up all the issues. I think its good that sky are now allowing people outside of sky to test things and using forums for feedback. As long as people note the difference between not liking how something looks to how well something works.

Agreed. In the case of the EPG beta testing, Sky is also encouraging use of the forum to make suggestions for future improvements to the EPG and they say they are listening.
