      Are mini USB n adapters any good ?

      Looking to buy a mini wireless N adapter for my laptop, are they anygood for sky fiber? Or should I get a full blown USB N adapter that does 300mbs ? Thanks

      You know what, I was testing these today and this one Edimax EW-7722UTN 300Mbps USB 2.0 Wireless 802.11n Mini USB Adapter: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories maxxed out at 31meg download on my laptop, better than the internal one! I'd added it to a friends machine that had a broken wireless switch.

      I got a full USB one on eBay 4.99 getting just over 37mb on it seems good enough do me

      EW-7711UMn 4.99 free delivery very small USB but not micro works a treat

      not sure what laptop's your running, but I've just replaced the internal wlan card in my Dell Vostro for a N rated one for 8. It was a simple swap in/out as the interfaces are accessible via a couple of screws underneath the laptop.

      Might have a look at replacing the samsung nc10's card now
