      Draytek Vigor 2830n and Sky Fibre

      Hi everyone i was just wondering if it is possible to use a Draytek Vigor 2830n to connect to BTO modem and then connect to the internet. i have retrieved my username and password form sky's sagem router and have entered them into the draytek vigor for wan 2 and then connected the BTO etherent cable to wan2 on the draytek but nothing happens. Is the issue the autehntciate that sky use now MER or i am doing something completely worng? any advice would be appreciated.

      It will be the MER authentication which is stopping the connection. Unless you are able to force your router to use the Sky authentication method, you have no chance of connecting. If that is the case your only option is to piggyback the Draytek on to the Sky router.

      I think he may have managed to connect a Draytek modem, so your situation may not be completely lost.

      I asked Draytek if any of their routers supported the Sky fibre MER authentication scheme. See response below. Anyone know if this is true?
