      Shameful fibre order experience

      I have ordered Sky fibre unlimited from customer services by phone and feel very cheated from them.

      I called 4 times within 2 days until finally got to a kind of helpful guy with whom I placed the order who turned out to be a love digital member and I just found out today that I have to wait over 3 weeks for my broadband to be installed where I could order the same thing online and have my broadband installed in exactly 2 weeks.

      In my first three calls I have been passed around to few different people trying to force me to order Sky TV and when I called for the 4th time the sales adviser told me I have ordered Sky TV on the day before (which I didn't).

      He finally placed an order for me charging me 52 for installation and said it will be installed within two weeks which would be 17 May. ( if I placed the order online I had the option of choosing 17 may as the earliest appointment ).

      I was shocked when I registered to sky website to track my order and found out that my installation date is 25/05/2012 more than 3 weeks after the day I placed my order.

      I am very frustrated as I don't have a broadband connection and I have been lied when I ordered and regret so much that I didn't order online, but I was hoping to get the 80/20 connection if I ordered by phone.

      Does anyone have any idea how to speed up my appointment as I do not want to go through that 'customer service' again?

      The order dates are dictated by BTO engineer availability in your area. So if there's no slots available for three weeks, there's nothing Sky can do to speed things up.

      I hope you ordered Sky phone rental, if you don't have it, or this is likely to cause another delay.
