Using a US based server may not be a good idea. Then again they may have local servers, same as Open\dns
4.2.2.2 - United States IP. Detailed location, ISP and more info.

I get fine speeds but tracert to bbc.co.uk has some * * * request timed out crap in it.

How do you change the New 2504n DNS? I'm not at home at the moment so canny log into it.

Would/ could this also help the routing & potentially the Latency / ping?

You can't change the DNS on any routers running Sky firmware, you have to change it on the individual devices.

Ah ok, I'll swap it out on the PC cheers.

Do you think it could be partly down to the sky routing causing the time outs?

I don't think so as if it was a routing issue everyone would be effected not just a small amount and not everyone on that exchange.

DNS server are not an issue as I comletel removed them from the equation and thye still go slow on open dns server, google and another dns service I use

Not sure if anything has happened...but

Connecting to Microsoft to carry out a test..

The speed is up and down, but it's 30Mb+ all the way upto 40Mb. I am using other computers in the house, but are things getting better?

      Doobs
