      Are torrents being blocked?

Yesterday I managed to download a torrent at 4.5Mb/sec and I set my upload speed to 100kB/s. I'm trying to seed a file that has many leechers but its only uploading at 0.2kB/sec and won't go any further then that.

Is this a sign that they are blocking torrents?

      Re: Are torrents being blocked?

The speed that a torrent downloads at is subjective. It depends greatly on who is seeding at the time, what speeds they can seed at (including what else is happening with the connection) and whether the computer is seeding others at the same time.

      Re: Are torrents being blocked?

Really strange, I can download torrents perfectly fine at full speed but seeding back is a struggle, only managing a maximum of 5.0kB/sec.

      Re: Are torrents being blocked?

If you allow your seeding to go unrestricted, then the bandwidth is saturated.

Try limiting the upload to a maximum of 140-160kBps and see what happens.

dont use utorrent anymore but... options > advanced > cache tick the overide cache and put an ammount greater than 512MB. that should remove your disk overload.

just tried a torrent and i'm seeding at ~123KB/s... so nope they are not blocked

*just jumped to ~204KB/s very nice
