Your old laptop is not N standard and your new one is?

You need N to get 40mbps I think.

I do sometimes think Sky should just use this forum for it's customer support rather than it's own teams. There seems to be lots of people on here who can address questions and understand problems. There's also good communication on what's happening from a product perspective.

All of the above seem to have been somewhat lacking on the Sky side (in my experience). I don't buy the excuse that this is a new service, considering how long this has been in various trials.

Maybe we should all club together and make our own internet service provider company!!!!

Can some of you please try going into the advanced section of the router login page and ggo into WAN setup then router mode will likely say Auto please then try to select WANoE click apply then repeat speed tests. This may not work but have been speaking to some more people from network team who have said possible that in auto mode that ISAMs are still seeing the connection as ADSL and setting the appropiate profile. Also all the modems installed today are thye all Hauwei ones ?

I changed mine to WANoE earlier but I'm still peaking out around 34Mb.

Regarding the modem mine is the ECI version.

      I'm having the same problem.
If you select auto in the options is should then use b\g and n. I had to change my channel to get my laptop to connect higher than G. It may be worth while using inSSIDer to find a channel that is free and as far away from other ones in use.

Re: New Installs show us your Speed

My max attainable rate was showing over 100Mb this afternoon, just checked now and it's dropped to 70Mb, wouldn't have thought darkness would cause such a big drop (i'm assuming it's that), especially with being so close to the cabinet (less than 40m)
