The missus is a manager at the local royal mail office, and these are the kind of tricks she has to deal with sometimes. The computers that scan the item are in depth. Location, date, time and the postie who delivered it are all recorded so you should get it tomorrow.

Daft question, but have you checked your Recycle Bin, for example?

I have known postmen to leave packages in these before now.

Could be worse, could be Sh*tty Link, or DH Hell, or FailTrak.

However, I will not have a single bad word heard against UPS or DPD. They are godlike couriers.

Hmmm... the German Post Office... aka DHL...

      Drop it
      Hide it
      Loss it

I've had a three packages delivered by DPD in recent months. The first arrived a few days after it was supposed to. Although out on delivery on the first day, it never made it to my home. 2nd arrived on time. Third arrived a day late.

Yep It was one of the first places I checked. I am actually really hoping now that the delivery driver was cheeky and just put it down as delivered and will deliver it tomorrow but part of me isn't too hopeful.

I'm going to give them a call first thing tomorrow as I'm guessing this could take days to sort out and I'll be needing the router for Friday.

Such a mess, why things can't go smoothly I don't know

"We have a record of item XXXXXXXX as being delivered from Romford DO on 2012-04-23."

However when I came home from work, absolutely nothing has been delivered. Someone has been at home all day and they told me that the doorbell didn't ring. There's no red card either through the postbox.

Not too sure what to do as there's only 4 days till the install. Has anyone else had this?
had the same thing this morning text at 8.00am saying their delivering it today and then a text at 10.56 to say it had been delivered but no ring at the door?

Then a 12.30 I hear a ring at the door and it's the postie with my router

      Oh thats good to know!

I mean I don't actually mind if its a day late and that they cheekily put it down as delivered just as long as it arrives before Friday at the address its supposed to.

If I ever go to buy something and they say that they use DHL or CityLink I don't buy that particular product.

I live in a flat so they need to be buzzed in in order to access my front door and letter box. Too many times have a had CityLink say they attempted to deliver but no-one was at home and that they have left a card.

I know for a fact that this is lies as I'm at home all day and I never buzzed anyone in and no card could be left cause they can't access my letter box.

I agree with gorebrush about DPD and UPS as they I always sign for packages for anyone else in the building.

No idea how my posties get in the outer door but once they do they will leave packages outside our doors if we don't answer, which is what they did with my sky router
