My pro was activated this morning, speedtest is giving random results but BBC iplayer and the namesco speed tests are both reporting 77500 - 78300 down and 13500 - 15000 up. I was told 61 down and 12 up so pretty happy.

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

Hmm my Pro has gone live but I'm not happy with the download sync.

Was told 68 MB but I'm only reaching 55MB. The upload is a bit lower than I was quoted but only by about 1MB.

Before I was getting a rock solid 3992 down and 1999 up, so I'm a bit disappointed, plus the cabinet is only around 100 metres away and my next door neighbour syncs at 72MB.

Spoken to Sky and they say wait for the 10 day DLM training etc, etc and the sync speed should increase.

Will my speeds start to climb once the DLM recognises my line can handle more?

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

I am hoping so too - my max attainable rate is a good 10Mbit more than what I currently receive.

What's your internal wiring setup like?

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

Internal wiring is direct into the shiny new faceplate with the BT modem and Sky router connected via the two ethernet cables close by.

I'm baffled because previously I was connected at the full speeds before upgrading to Pro and everything indicates I should at least hit 67/68MB.

I'll give it the 10 day DLM profiling then if there's no change I'm downgrading back to the Fibre Unlimited package.

I seem to be getting something different to most people here. Had my Pro connected sometime yesterday afternoon, was quoted 77Mb by Sky, BT estimate says 75.5 but the BTO modem shows max rate of between 60 and 61Mb, Sky router syncs at the same. My first question is, am I all done at 60? Is there anything I can do to increase that, will DLM make any difference? Also, I'm not seeing real-world throughout to match the sync speed, not even when downloading Linux distros from Usenet. Before Pro, I was seeing sync of 39999Kbps and throughput of 4.5mb/s. Right now, I'm struggling to even match that, let alone exceed it by the 50% I was expecting. Tbh, 60Mb plus the 20Mb upload would make me happy as long as I see the real-world benefit in the download speed.

      Any ideas?

      Hello, by the way!

      Darren

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

Ordered my upgrade yesterday after seeing on this thread it was live!

I get the full 40/2 at the mo but very rarely get above 3.4mb/s. I didn't realise 4.5mb/s was possible on a sync of 40. Looking forward to the 20mb upload most of all. I don't see any real need to download faster now.
