I wouldn't reboot again then in case DLM drops your speed. I'd keep an eye on it for a day or two then ring Sky. They probably would tell you the same thing if you rang them. Still can't understand why some people got the top speeds the next day, and some have had to wait .............. It would do my head in

ordered. Took about ten mins on the phone and I even managed to "chat" with the lady. She reckoned 48hrs but some are activated within 24. Ohhh I haven't been this excited since....... fibre was installed 6 weeks ago. oh yeah, Quoted 64Mbps but i'm sure it'll be a bit better than that.

Ordered my upgrade to pro on Friday afternoon, when i booted pc at 6 this morning it was done 79999 down, 20000 up (hacked the bto modem) was quoted 70.6 down & 20000 up on Friday, so i'm pretty happy .
Mind you i was half expecting that as the Attainable rate shown by the bto modem was/is 82852 & 30000.
      Best Regards, Will

Ordered today. Quoted 53MB download & 20MB Upload. The upload is the attraction for me as I work from home connected by VPN to a sharepoint server. 8 day cooling off period confirmed so I will swtich back if not happy.

Yep I was told that too.

Have it on an email from a member of the Sky Fibre team as proof.

ok so ordered yesterday at about 3pm. came down this morning rebooted the modem and DISCO. 79999/20000. usenet banging along at 8.5MB/s. was a little concerned as speedtest.net only returned 50Mbps but usenet has confirmed we're getting good speeds

after a bit more testing before leaving for work. I couldn't find a speedtest.net server that would keep up with the usenet speed. Is this normal?

Could I please ask what usenet provider you are using and how many connections to get your 8.5MB/s? Ta.

      Starmax,

Astraweb, cant remember If we've set the number of connections in sabnzbd or left it default but you get 20 with the account. Been with them for years and would reccomend.

edit: euro server is in the netherlands and ssl is enabled on 443
