For those of us lucky enough to already have 40/2 but hankering for 80/20 does anyone have an idea how things are progressing (mods ???), the date of June 7th has been hinted at for those wanting to phone fibre team..or is this just another kite flying exercise, I had a response from CS quite a while back suggesting July for upgrades online...frustratingly no news is not good news as far as I am concerned. I do like and trust Sky but I am getting a bit peed off with this fibre pro fiasco.

Obviously we can't confirm it 100%, but it is likely that Sky will announce something soon.

With all the recent issues over ordering, the backhaul, half speed throughput and pricing concerns, I think that the people in Sky have been working hard to get things fixed for the next big jump.

Thanks Scubbie and newsreader for info, would I be right in thinking if June 7 does happen (fingers crossed) then the fibre pro team will have significantly increased their numbers or the ability to deal with upgrades will be a simple matter for normal CS team, and lets hope whatever is happening the CS team have the same info as the sbuf team so when people do make contact about this we are not thought of as nuisances who do not know what we are talking about.....hope that made sense..

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

We do not know if the Fibre team have been increased. I would trust that Sky has been rolling out improved systems to order SFU & SFUP as it appears that less people are complaining about messed up orders.

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

Personally I can't see too many people taking the upgrade to Pro. 10pm is quite a lot more and there's little that needs the extra speed at the moment. Then there are the others who won't actually see much beyond the 40Mbps they already have.
Sure, the 20Mbps upload would be nice but again I'd have thought most people will happily make do with the 2 and save 10.

Now, is there any news on a 10Mbps boost for the 40Mbps package?

You could be right, however if anyone lives in a large rambling victorian house like mine with 4 adults and 3 children plus my 2 teenage grandaughters that runs 2 x main desktops, 3 laptops, 3 ipads, 5 x iphones, 1 x ipod a WD media 1tb hub media server and 3 sky hd boxes with anytime plus.....then 80/20 will be very useful....I am sure there are a heck of a lot of people in my situation and worse (if you see what I mean ), oh and did I mention the 2 dogs 3 cats 3 tortoises and 2 rabbits and my youngest grandaughters collection of various spiders (live ones).

I have heard spiders and tortoises are MASSIVE internet users. Sounds like you definitely need the pro option
