Between the BTO Engineers messing up installations and Sky's order system, there appears to be a few issues to be ironed out.
BT Have never been great for appointment (but great at collecting direct debits), as for Sky not being upto date.. well lets be honest they gave the impression from the start it was only a limited number who wanted fibre and it seems they did not do everything they could/should have before they launched it. Now weeks on, the fibre team is still small the roll out it still slow the lack of info about packages (prices speeds ordering) is limited.

Thankfully the roll out of Fibre is gaining pace, but that up take is a little slow at present.

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/gener...tml#post373542

Both BTO and Virgin are advertising for more people to help install their equipment at the moment. This is good news as it means that there will be more people able to fill the increasing appointment lists.

Sure Sky gave the impression that Fibre uptake would be slow, but I think that they miss-read things considerably. A lot of people on this forum, as an example, do not wish to struggle with usage caps or slow speeds during busy times. Sky is the only ISP that can offer this at the moment and in on the whole delivering it. With this in mind, there will be a lot of people wanting to move across.

This forum alone, I didn't have time to check any of the others for myself, was seriously busy around the launch date. That should have been a good indicator that SFU and SFUP were going to be popular.

I wonder just when an FTTP based product will be delivered by Sky? by 'eck that'll be popular if they get the prices right.

FTTP would be lovely if the price was right.

Really wish Sky would hurry up and come up with more options, 40/10 and 60/10 would be nice

      Sorry, I couldn't resist

What we want, need and get are three different things. By the time 2020 arrives and 50% of Europe is on a connection above 100mb, we'll all be wanting 10Gbit connections.

you may want to keep an eye on your max attainable rate as when more people are connected to your cab you may see it come down. since SFU went public my max attainable has dropped from 96Mb to 93Mb, its not alot I admit
