Whilst I appreciate that they didn't like any links to the hacked version of Sky Go being posted, the legitimate version in their own company's product and freely available to download in a public place.
Haha. Well finally they have come out with a statement that makes some kind of sense. But why oh why is it always the first reaction to try to cover up and blame others for the cockup? And why does it take the best part of a week to get a statement out (apart from the denials)? WTF have they all been doing in the meantime? If that statement had been issued 5 days ago and begun with "Yesterday" then they would not have made themselves into such a laughing stock.

Last week a Sky Go update for ICS was prematurely released.

We've had to recall this release as we are still experiencing bugs/stability issues within the app, and need to complete all necessary testing to make sure we continue to deliver our customers a high quality experience.

We realise that this will come as a disappointment to customers who've been looking forward to this update, and apologise for the error. We are working hard to resolve these issues, and will provide more details on launch dates as soon as possible.

I would not get your hopes up to soon....I was told yesterday by cs that it was now going to be end of July before it will be available to all.

I am now going past it and a bit fed up with this nonsense.

Still not avail online yet, putting BT numbers into the Sky checker still only gives SFU available with speed result of 40.0 - 40.0
i do keep checking online every so often and will report as soon as i get a result offering 80/20 speeds, if someone else dont beat me to it ofcause

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

I've been on holiday for the past week, but it is a shame to have returned and not seen any progress with this.

On the plus side, my Max attainable rate is still 72Mbit. Woo.

Looking at other forums it seems Sky may have been wise to hold back the regrade/roll out of 80/20 service. Whilst it is frustrating Sky have not been quicker to launch faster fibre products we do not acutally know what they are planning it maybe for the better? One thing is for sure their ordering system is not performing the way it should. Fibre is still it seems on trial with sky and maybe it was a wise move to offer a phased roll out and regardless of whos fault it is causing the delay the fibre team at sky are still learning. This seems to the the reason why they have had no big media splashes about fibre or charging for connection.

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

This is a shame as Sky has had since 2009 to evaluate FTTC (the first installation was back then in Muswell Hill and all ISPs were able to trial it).

Between the BTO Engineers messing up installations and Sky's order system, there appears to be a few issues to be ironed out.
