    Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

This is a discussion on Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour within the Sky Broadband (Fibre) Help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I don't think many current/would-be sky fibre users will be going for this package...at 10 more...it is useless for home ...

I don't think many current/would-be sky fibre users will be going for this package...at 10 more...it is useless for home usage...but brilliant for business usage...Isn't Sky Broadband supposed to be for Home usage only??

If sky offered this to current/would-be sky fibre...for free....or even a few quid more...but not an extra 10...then...I would have been tempted by it...but right now I am not tempted at all....also I cannot see it as an option in the upgrades yet...and my home phone number is giving errors in the line checker..."your number is not a sky line rental number" or to that effect...when IT IS!!

...also my dad, works for the local council, and they get 1gb download link...but each worker gets 100mb download link, and they don't even reach 100mb...so 80mb for home usage is practically useless...unless you set up a good business at home...

I'd suspect business users wouldn't be too happy being locked into using Sky's Sagem 2504N router as well ...

Maybe it will become available on Monday but at 30 I doubt it will be popular. I really just want a decent upload speed. I was told that my line could facilitate 47 down and 18 up. I would pay an extra 2.50 to get 10 up instead of 2.

What is interesting is the feedback about the price. Obviously people think 30 is too much looking at some of the comments.

I no every supplier likes to double there speeds and everything but is a 60/10 product out of the question. Maybe at say, 25 a month. Or is this not possible?

Sky need to match BT or be a little cheaper. BT Infinity 2 is unlimited with a little traffic management. Most people will not care about the limit on p2p so why would they pay an extra 4. Sky need to charge 25 and they will come in hoards including myself.

We can only go by what we have already posted, we copied and pasted part of the information, removing the names obviously.

Apparently it is on briefings that the staff read.

This another message, we received, after we first posted the rumour.

This is not a rumour. When using the availability checker, it is now available to some customers and will be priced at 30pm.

up to 80MB download speed and up to 20MB upload speed

Nothing will be admitted until its official. Has anybody managed to get a 80/20 speed check on the Sky site yet?. What is strange is I haven't even seen a advert for Sky fibre 40/2 yet. Don't understand why there not shouting it from the roof tops.
