      2) It only takes hours, not weeks etc
      3) It also shows that things are moving very quickly, the other day you had to wait until June for this to happen, officially

We will have to wait until after Midnight to confirm though if it is indeed true, however the person has to be up at 5:30 so will not let us know until that time ish.

Unfortunately I will be fast asleep though at that time.
i might be up that time

Does suck tho as i've only just got/getting fibre and they relieased that days later

If you think how many days it was from 40/2 to 80/20 and now how many days until 40/10, they may have done things the long way round but it does seem they are adapting quickly.

I would be very surprised if its a free upgrade to 80/20 but stranger things have happened. I think most would be happy with a free regrade to 40/10. Its a nice idea to be on a 80/20 package but at 30pm you need to be able to get speeds nearer the 80/20 mark rather than 40/10 to justify the price jump.

The upgrade to 40/10 is not rumoured to be free, but rumoured to actually become available. I think its the wish of everyone that it is offered free, but there is always the possibility that it could be a middle product, ie 25 per month.

However, it would be great if it was a free upgrade.

Re: Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro Rumour

I got Fibre installed on Friday and haven't touched the router/modem since. I've also been very active with the connection over the past few days, but looking at the router stats its saying the connection restarted 13 hours ago? Is this meant to happen? I notice the system uptime is only 20 hours which means that power must have cut at around 4.00am on Sunday, the only thing I can think of is a power cut from the weather conditions.

^^ You are still connected at 40/2 - Maybe just a drop in the connection / exchange etc

Sky really are making an *** of themselves with the fibre products!!! If they just launched an 40/10 product with NO price increase I'd be most customers would be more than happy. It does really seem that this was all launched on the back of a fag packet, which for Sky is very odd.

I'm just wondering how I can use my predicted 54/15 connection with BT from may 16th

Is that BT, thats had years of throttle free broadband, excellent customer service and who make of millions profit each year? Yes Sky have not launched fibre like we would have liked them to or indeed as fast but maybe the reason for that delay or gradual roll out is to not put an instant stress on their network. People forget that BT never launched fibre instantly with the products, speeds or volume of exchanges that we are expecting sky to. From a customers view it is slow and frustrating but from a commercial view its a sensible move, and before people start saying what allowing people to leave to go to other ISP's.. most of those that move will still keep their sky tv, and you can also bet once their contract is up alot will come back. It will be interesting to see how people compare BT Infinity with Sky fibre in 12 months time.
